| Description |
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement and lead strategic planning for the trade compliance program within the region.
2. Oversee and advise on the development and maintenance of trade compliance manuals, documentation, records and reference materials for individual country operations.
3. Manage and resolve trade compliance issues within the region; implement corrective actions as required.
4. Assist regional operations to implement required trade compliance programs, including the provision of training and documentation of processes and procedures.
5. Develop and deliver Compliance Training to targeted audiences involved in international transactions to support corporate compliance policies and initiatives.
6. Communicate and distribute specific trade compliance policies and procedures across all businesses in accordance with corporate policy on international Trade
7. Represents the organization with relevant government agencies as needed in order to maintain ongoing relations, respond to government inquiries, and address issues that are above and beyond day-to-day transactional issues/questions.
8. Monitor and oversee trade compliance programs. Conduct trade compliance risk assessments for business operations throughout the region; perform on-site program reviews; and coordinate with corporate internal audit staff as required.
9. Support Merger, Acquisitions, and Divestiture activities and lead trade compliance due diligence activities.
10.Oversee SW/Process Management and Free Trade Agreement Management resources.
11.Represent the Trade Compliance Department on the China Operations Council (CHOPs)
Requirements:
1.Minimum experience of 8 years in trade and/or trade compliance related positions.
2.Experience managing business operations according to the import and export regulations for China. Experience should include working with bonded factories, EBooks, Free Trade Zones, Bonded Logistics Zones, and valuation experience.
3.Well developed organizational, priority management, and planning skills.
4.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills enabling professional communication to people at all levels of the organization
5.Proven problem solving and decision making skills.
6.Basic computer literacy and knowledge of Software such as Word, Excel, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Visio.
7.Degree in International Trade, Business Administration or Law.
